Usage review of AEGISMAX "NANO1" Chinese sleeping bag

I've been using a synthetic sleeping bag that cost around 2000 yen, but I wanted a compact one for touring!

So, I decided to buy AEGISMAX's down sleeping bag, the "NANO1".

I was worried because some reviews mentioned a gamey smell, but mine had no smell at all.

It's reputed to have good cost performance, as you can get a 700FP down sleeping bag for under 10,000 yen.

Even though it's a Chinese manufacturer, it's said to be well-cleaned and high quality.

I decided to buy this for summer use.

Usage Review - Any Smell?

It arrived from China 12 days after I clicked to buy it on Amazon.

The included items were the main unit, a compression bag, and a mysterious large mesh pouch.

These arrived wrapped in plastic and then covered in black vinyl.The packaging was very 'China-esque'.

Gamey Smell

The gamey smell I was concerned about was completely absent from mine.

It just had that unique sleeping bag plastic smell, or rather, the smell common to new camping gear.

Still, I hung it outside for a full day to air it out.

Texture

The thickness, or rather, the feel, was just like an ultra-light down jacket.

It's definitely not for winter; in fact, wouldn't it be better to just wear an ultra-light down jacket?

The outside has a glossy color, while the inside has a matte feel.

After taking it out and putting it away a few times, some down has started to come out, so it might gradually get thinner...

Used it in Sagamihara in November.

I bought the sleeping bag in November. It was already cold, but since I had nothing else, I took the NANO1 to Sagamihara.

I think the temperature dropped to around freezing at night.

I wore an extra-warm HEATTECH, two ultra-light down jackets, and one regular down jacket, then got into the NANO1.

At this point, I almost felt like the sleeping bag's presence or absence didn't matter, but it was cold, yet I managed to sleep.

As expected, it's mainly for **summer**; with enough layers, it can also be used in spring or autumn, but of course, that's **with layers**.

When Stored

The specifications state a storage size of 12cm x 21cm, and it's roughly that size.

For the black one, it came with a black compression bag.

When laid flat, from the neck to the feet, it measured 170cm, and the widest part was 70cm, which made me think it might be
slightly smaller than the specifications.
