Test if various services can be displayed

We will test if major streaming services like YouTube and Prime Video can be displayed.

To conclude, in the environments I could test, it was as follows.

This is how Amazon Prime Video looks.
The same screen is displayed on the iPhone, and if the iPhone screen is turned off, the TV screen also turns off.

Basically, the iPhone screen is output as is, so YouTube and Abema also behaved this way.

This is how U-NEXT looks.
Only with U-NEXT, the iPhone screen darkens, and the video fills the entire TV screen.

If you're watching video, this behavior is more desirable.

About Netflix

I haven't been able to test it as I don't have a subscription, but I saw a comment in an Amazon review saying 'it doesn't work with Netflix'.

That person mentioned that they 'started playing the video without connecting the cable, and then connected the cable midway to watch it on TV'.

iPad mini 6

It was confirmed that it can also be used with "iPad mini 6 (2021)", which supports the DisplayPort standard.

I will also try it with the Android smartphone "OPPO A54 5G" I had on hand.

Upon checking, it seems there are no OPPO smartphone models that support DisplayPort as of 2026.
