How to Limit Maximum Battery Charge from BIOS on Dell 14 Laptop

This article introduces how to limit the maximum battery charge on Dell's laptop 'Dell 14 DC14255'.
By limiting the maximum battery charge to around 80%, you can extend the battery's lifespan.
Dell laptops come pre-installed with software called 'Dell Optimizer', which includes a menu for power and battery, but the crucial battery care settings were nowhere to be found.
Therefore, it seems the only way to configure this is through the BIOS.
The laptop featured in this article is introduced here.
Setting from BIOS
Turn on your PC and immediately press the 'F2 key' repeatedly to enter the BIOS.
Find the 'Battery Charge Configuration' setting item under the 'Advance' tab, and press Enter.
Select 'Custom' and press Enter.
Then, you will be able to set the charging start and stop values.
Set 'Start Charging (%)' to around '50-70'.
Set 'Stop Charging (%)' to around '80'.
Adjust the values to your preference depending on your usage.
If portability is your main concern, setting Start: 70%, Stop: 85% will keep your battery sufficiently charged at all times.
If you primarily use it at home, Start: 50%, Stop: 80% might be gentler on the battery.
After setting, press the 'F10 key (Save and Exit)' to save the settings.
After setting, it was confirmed that charging stops at 80%.
That's how to control the maximum battery charge on a Dell laptop.
