Do photos in an iCloud Shared Album disappear when you turn it off and on?

I encountered a bug where new photos in iCloud Shared Albums were not appearing or updating.
A solution suggested toggling iCloud Shared Albums off and on in iPhone settings, so I decided to try it.
When I tried to turn off iCloud Shared Albums from settings,

A scary message appeared: "If you turn off "Shared Albums," all shared photos will be deleted from this iPhone."

Will all photos in shared albums disappear if I turn it off once?
I actually tried it.

Conclusion: They don't disappear even if you toggle off and on
To conclude, photos in shared albums do not disappear even if you toggle them off and on.
Shared album data is associated with your Apple ID, so it won't disappear unless you delete your Apple ID.
First, close the Photos app.
Next, I actually tried turning off "Shared Albums" in Settings.

Then, I turned "Shared Albums" back on and opened the Photos app.
The shared albums started loading.

However, when I first tried it, it remained stuck in the state on the left and didn't load.
It was resolved by toggling it off and on again, but I'll explain more in the next section.
It didn't work at first
Initially, when I toggled shared albums off and on, the shared albums didn't load at all.

It remained unchanged even after leaving it connected to a charger overnight, so I tried toggling the setting off and on again using the following steps, and it loaded immediately.
- Close all apps and restart the device
- From Settings > Photos, turn off 'Shared Albums', wait about 10 seconds, then turn it back on
- Open the Photos app
These steps may not be the definitive solution, but if your shared albums stopped loading after toggling them off and on, please give them a try.
