How to send a Google Maps link on LINE to open directly in the app

When you send a Google Maps link on LINE,

it opens in LINE's in-app browser.

If you tap 'Open in app' or 'Next' in the top right, the Google Maps app will launch, but

we'll show you how to send it so that the Google Maps app opens directly with one tap.
This is strictly about the sender's side.
Send by adding a parameter to the URL
Send by adding the following parameter to the URL.
?openExternalBrowser=1
If the URL already contains '?', use this
&openExternalBrowser=1
Example
If the URL is like this:
https://maps.app.goo.gl/abcd
Send it like this:
https://maps.app.goo.gl/abcd?openExternalBrowser=1
If the URL already contains '?',
https://maps.app.goo.gl/abcd?g_st=il
connect with '&'.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/abcd?g_st=il&openExternalBrowser=1
Send it like this.

When the recipient taps the link, the Google Maps app should launch directly with one tap.

This openExternalBrowser=1 parameter is a LINE URL scheme feature called 'Open in external browser'.
By sending a URL with this parameter, it will open directly in the OS's default Safari or Chrome, or other apps, instead of the in-app browser.
