Obtaining Benefit Information

We will proceed according to the postcard's instructions.

Since your name and postal code must match those in the shareholder registry, enter the information for each of the two accounts here.

Submission Complete

A gift code will be sent via email immediately.

Now, we will apply this gift code to your U-NEXT account.

(1st Account) Entering Benefit Information

If you are already registered with U-NEXT and are not currently being charged, please follow the steps in this article.

After entering the gift code sent via email, it showed 'Benefit applied'.

Opening the 'Account/Contract' page confirms that 'U-NEXT 90-day unlimited viewing' has been applied, and opening the 'U-NEXT Points' page shows 1000 points awarded, which will expire in 90 days.

(2nd Account) Entering Benefit Information

Once you have obtained the gift code for the second shareholder benefit, apply it to the same U-NEXT account as before.

On the screen after entering the gift code, the expiration date was shown as 90 days later,

but when I opened the 'Account/Contract' page, the unlimited viewing expiration date had been extended to 180 days.

Only the point expiration date seems to be 90 days from when the gift code is applied.

Therefore, if you want to use the points from both accounts slowly, I recommend applying the gift code for the second account a few days after registering the first account.

(Note that the deadline for applying benefits for the end-of-February record date is the end of August. See bottom left of postcard.)

[Bonus Section] Alternative Ways to Utilize Two Accounts if You're Uncomfortable with the 'Gray Area'

This is a bonus section.

Shareholder benefits are often only usable by the shareholder themselves, so some people might be uncomfortable with the method mentioned earlier.

Although I haven't actually tried this myself, so it's purely theoretical,
I will introduce an alternative method for such cases.

U-NEXT has a 'Family Account feature'.
This is not about creating multiple profiles within one account, but rather a feature that allows you to add completely separate U-NEXT accounts as sub-accounts.

Considering the dates in this case:

Once the benefits arrive, for the 90 days from May 20th to August 18th, apply the benefits to the husband's (1st account) account and add the wife (2nd account) as a sub-account.
From August 19th to November 16th, apply the benefits to the wife's (2nd account) account and add the husband (1st account) as a sub-account.
By doing this, nominally, the shareholder benefits would be used on the shareholder's own account.

The disadvantages of this method are that since points are used on separate accounts for the husband and wife, centralized management of paid content becomes impossible, and
for benefits with an end-of-February record date, the application deadline is the end of August, so there's a risk of forgetting to apply.
