Actual steps for canceling SoftBank Hikari's "Ouchi-wari Hikari Set"
In our household, we were applying the 'Ouchi-wari Hikari Set' with Y!mobile and SoftBank Hikari, but
This time, since I decided to stop using Y!mobile, the options required to apply SoftBank Hikari's 'Ouchi-wari Hikari Set' became unnecessary.
I will show you the actual steps to cancel these options, with screenshots.

(First of all) About the 'Ouchi-wari Hikari Set'
The 'Ouchi-wari Hikari Set' is a service where, by bundling 'SoftBank Hikari' with a 'smartphone (SoftBank or Y!mobile)', your smartphone bill is discounted by 1100 yen every month.

To apply this 'Ouchi-wari Hikari Set', you must subscribe to the following mandatory SoftBank Hikari options.
- Hikari BB Unit Rental
- Wi-Fi Multi Pack (or Wi-Fi Terrestrial Digital Pack)
- BB Phone (or White Hikari Phone or Hikari Phone)
For SoftBank Hikari 10 Gigabit, 'Hikari BB Unit Rental' is not required, so please read accordingly.
Combining these three options costs 550 yen per month.
So, even though the smartphone bill is discounted by 1100 yen, it's effectively a 550 yen discount.
This time, I will continue to use SoftBank Hikari, but since I stopped Y!mobile, I will cancel these three options.
Precautions before cancellation
The following precautions should be noted when canceling.
- If using Wi-Fi, your own Wi-Fi router is required
- Prepaid return of rental equipment is required
- (If using a landline phone) Be careful when canceling BB Phone
I will briefly explain each point.
1. If using Wi-Fi, your own Wi-Fi router is required
Currently, you are probably using Wi-Fi at home, but if you are using Wi-Fi with the Hikari BB Unit (and do not have your own Wi-Fi router), you will need to purchase a Wi-Fi router.

2. Prepaid return of rental equipment is required
※This is probably not required for SoftBank Hikari 10 Gigabit.
If you cancel the 'Hikari BB Unit Rental' option, you will need to return the 'Hikari BB Unit'.

3. Precautions when canceling 'BB Phone' are limited to those who use a landline phone. I will omit them here.
Option cancellation steps
Access My SoftBank and log in to SoftBank Hikari.
From the 'Services' tab, open 'Change' for 'Hikari BB Unit Rental'.
Precautions and other information will be displayed, so tap 'Change/Stop' at the bottom.
View all precautions
Check all options you wish to cancel.
Here, it's the three items: 'Hikari BB Unit Rental', 'Wi-Fi Multi Pack', and 'BB Phone'.
Tap 'Confirm' at the bottom

Check 'Apply for connection method change cancellation' and tap 'Confirm'
(The Japanese is a bit confusing, but check this box if you want to cancel)
Agree to the terms and tap 'Confirm'
On the next screen, tap 'Apply'.
With this, the cancellation procedure is complete.
Next, we will proceed with returning the rental equipment.
Returning the equipment (prepaid)
I apologize for not having specific photos, as I forgot to take them.
You need to send the 'Hikari BB Unit' back to SoftBank.

Pack it in a suitable cardboard box and send it to SoftBank using Yamato or Yu-Pack, etc.
Please note that NTT equipment does not need to be returned.
